I’m glad we celebrated the new year in Carol’s hometown-Kabacan. I really love the atmosphere there because it’s very noisy in here. Not like in my hometown firecrackers and fireworks are banned. Which means new year’s eve is so quiet. Well not that quiet actually because others turn their sound system as loud as it can. But still no firecrackers and fireworks. For us Filipinos it is a tradition to light up those firecrackers because we believed that it could drive away bad spirits and bad luck. Back in Kabacan we had a great time there with Carol’s relatives. Everybody is smiling and feeling happy.
