This gadget is designed for people looking for something more advanced than iPhone. Todays technology trendsetters are finding more ways of developing and polishing their masterpieces to get the hearts of gadget fanatics. Decade ago we are contented with the famous 5110 of Nokia cellphone used only for texting and calling. The evolution have come this far. Now we call it smart phones where you can use it as cellphone, web browser, music and a lot more.

Nexus One’s specifications is here. I may need to check more on job search websites to hunt for extra job. Need it badly. :)

Family Computer

How about that for a Christmas present? I can still remember playing a Family Computer with my friends in our house 19 years ago. My all time favorite are “Sky Destroyer“, “Legend of Cage“, “Gradius“, and of course “Contra“.  Twenty years gone by and look at how computer games evolved. It has so many changes. From the graphics itself you won’t even notice it’s only a computer game.

Now I know what else I want this Christmas. A Nintendo Wii for Me and Ella. The little girl will be so happy if we have this in the house. :)

Google Phone?

by on Nov.20, 2009, under Tech Gadget

Really? I would love to have one. When our phone was missing I thought to myself at last we could get a new one. Our cellphone is aged by time and needs to be replaced. If, Google really is building one then I’d love to have one.

“Google is building their own branded phone that they’ll sell directly through retailers.” Rumors like this have been denied ever since the Android OS was announced (Mobile Operating System). Now they’re into hardware business. It’s way too cool for me. After seeing and using Google in the internet now you can have it as a hardware- actually a cellphone. They say this handset will be built by a third party manufacturer like LG or Samsung.

“So for now, it’s all speculation … but personally, I think a branded, unlocked Google Phone would be a great idea. Even if it was, say, more than the $99 or $199 price we’re used to (those prices are subsidized by the carriers, after all), an off-the-rack Google Phone that’s not tied to Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, or Sprint—and hence, no contract—would be pretty enticing. All you’d need is a SIM card with a data plan … and you could even disable cellular data access and just go Wi-Fi, if you really want to keep costs low.” link

SEO

by on Sep.03, 2009, under Tech Gadget

Since I started blogging I constantly heard all this SEO thing. I am curious about how it is related to blogging. Search Engine Optimization is one way you can promote your product or your self. Sadly, I cannot afford SEO consultants. I am contented  with dropping ECs just to buy some traffic. A website about a free directory submission that help your website get indexed. It is a must so that your site can get through search engines. “With a free directory submission, you will be one step closer to generating a massive flow of traffic to your site!”

HDTV

by on Aug.30, 2009, under Tech Gadget

Cathode ray tube televisions or popularly known as SDTV (Standard Definition TV) today are sold much more affordable now since the LCD type came out. Personally, I want a tv with lucrative features that can only be found on HDTV.  Clarity in the picture quality is incomparable and is endowed with the feature of surround sound. Pictures are no more blurred and unclear. The color quality is much more genuine and natural.

This is what I want if we ever have our own home. Ella can watch Disney Pixar’s hi quality movies. Enjoying the crisp surround sound. I regret why we bought the flat regular tv. Though it’s much cheaper the quality of sound I get is not pleasing in my ears. For now, since we do not have the budget for buying a high definition television I’ll just stick with my regular flat tv and enjoy it while it’s still there.

No Time To Blog?

by on Jun.16, 2009, under Personal, Tech Gadget, Weekend Snapshot

It’s not that I have nothing to blog about…

NO TIME to blog….

I got hooked by our new source of moolah. :) I am just glad that we have this opportunity. This means a plus allowance to our daily needs. In short, a big  blessing! Honestly we do not live like wealthy people does. We have to get down to it and play harder just to get through the day.

Since I didn’t post anything the past days, I just dropped entrecards.  I am targeting 300 ecs a day to get a feeling of satisfaction. Still couldn’t do it because our ISP is having a hard time distributing their unsatisfactory “fast internet connection”.  It’s like 5 days now we are  suffering from a slow internet connection. Anyway, I have been thinking about rv a lot lately. If we only live in the US, it is great to have one for camping. But since we are here in this part of the world, a tent will do. We will be having three when the boxes arrive. :-)

120 Seconds Boot Time

by on May.21, 2009, under Tech Gadget

I have some issues over Microsoft’s Vista operating system. Our laptop was preinstalled with a Vista Home Basic. Since our desktop runs on XP I really noticed the big difference they have. Aside from it’s improved performance, new features are found on Vista. Personally, I like Windows Vista a lot until I have some RAM and performance issues with our laptop. The technician in the computer shop where we bought it said it can run a Vista as long as it is the Home Basic edition. The guy was wrong. Even if it is HB edition it still eats up a large amount of RAM and keeps me waiting for 120 seconds before I can start clicking the icons on the desktop. Even if I am running on a selective start up using only important programs still the boot time takes forever.

I read over the net that minimum RAM to run a Vista smoothly should be atleast 2 Gigabytes and our humble laptop only has 1 Gigabyte. After much realizations that it cannot run smoothly on our laptop, I decided to downgrade it to XP. Now, I succesfully installed an XP and integrated a Transformation pack for XP to Vista. The Brickopack/VistaInspirat from www.crystalxp.net.  Thanks to the computer geniuses out there for making such programs.

I will set aside something from my earnings in blogging to buy cheap computer memory to add on our 1 Gigabyte RAM of our laptop. So I can upgrade again to Vista and run it smoothly, without waiting for 120 seconds boot time.
