A woman in Canada looses her insurance benefits after an agent saw her photos in Facebook partying and having a good time. She was on a long-term sick leave caused by depression and have been receiving insurance benefits until they discovered an evidence that she is now available to work. Payments from Manulife insurance stopped since they discovered the photos.

“The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Saturday she was diagnosed with major depression and was receiving monthly sick-leave benefits from insurance giant Manulife. But the payments dried up this fall and when Blanchard called Manulife, she says she was told she was available to work because of Facebook. She said her insurance agent described several pictures Blanchard posted on Facebook, including ones showing her having a good time at a Chippendales bar show, at her birthday party and on a sun holiday.”

Few months ago Eman was in and out in the hospital. We were drained financially because hospitalization here in our country is very expensive. We are in debts up to now and still trying to recover from it. I just realize what my father is telling me. “Update your medicare”. I am a member of PHILHealth Insurance Company and been  delinquent in paying quarterly obligation. Well, I said to myself that only a little percentage of the total bill they can cover. Not like insurance company in the United States they have outstanding quality of service. Far from ours here every year we hear Insurance company closing out because of bankruptcy. Blue Cross Blue Shield NC is one of the United States best. If only we can afford it I would not have any doubts in getting it. To date, Eman is now healthy as should be. The family is healthy I think. Still I will get them health insurance because we cannot predict the time of what will become of the future. If only our financial status would allow us why not.
