Lately I upgraded our two year old Dual Core desktop from Windows XP to Windows 7. The mere reason actually is I like Windows 7′s look and performance. As what I read in the reviews on the internet on this OS positive feed backs are generated which made me upgrade. Unlike the predecessor Vista I hear and read a lot of negative commnents. Then I started upgrading.

To have a problem free while installing it has to be a clean install. Backed up all important files to an external HDD. After that I installed Windows 7 hassle free and updated automatically all necessary drivers for the computer to run smoothly.

The problem I have is the monitor. The cd driver of my 15″ lcd monitor was lost and Windows 7 updated only the generic driver from microsoft. Every time I boot up the lcd monitor takes at least 5 minutes to display the desktop. This might be the best time to upgrade also the monitor. I really want a bigger than a 15″ display to enjoy more on the games I play.
